Our StoryDark Hollow Productions was founded with a simple goal, to create unforgettable live entertainment experiences, and we’ve remained focused on that goal from the start. Growing up, we each shared a fascination with theme parks, theater, and most importantly haunted houses. What started as a way to share in this mutual interest grew and developed from small, home haunt experiences in a neighborhood in Central New York, to full on technical productions operating out of a brownstone apartment in Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn Fright Nights). We eventually reached a tipping point, having outgrown our small shell, and made a decision to organize and form our LLC. We specialize in big impact, highly theatrical experiences, delivering on larger than life show scenes and are always looking to push the boundary of special effects and immersion. Individually, our professional careers split into a number of different specialty areas, including live entertainment management, engineering, and film and television production, but we are able to combine our collective expertise in all of these fields to produce one of a kind experiences that aim to leave our audiences coming back for more.
In 2022, Dark Hollow Productions was awarded Best Set Design for their 2021 event, Brooklyn Fright Nights, by the Canadian Haunters Association.
Matt is the President and Creative Director for Dark Hollow Productions, where he oversees project development and leads the team in special effects and lighting design as well as event operations. Matt has worked in the film and television industry for over 10 years as a producer and director and has been involved in numerous award-winning productions. His experience in the professional entertainment industry helps lead the production team at Dark Hollow.
Aaron is the Vice-President and Creative Technical Director for Dark Hollow Productions, where he oversees costuming, tech and effects, and scenic drafting and design. Aaron worked as a Design Engineer at 5 Wits Productions where he was responsible for game design and creating immersive storytelling adventures. Outside of the interactive entertainment industry, he is an avid cosplayer and theatrical costume designer. Aaron's work has been recognized by the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theater’s DASH program for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design, and has received nominations for Set Design and Set Dressing.
Evan serves as the Treasurer of Dark Hollow Productions where he brings his knowledge for Event & Entertainment Management as well as sales to the team helping create memorable experiences for all customers. Evan helps bring productions to life at large venues throughout the NY & NJ markets for millions of fans. Evan leads a diverse team of staff through day of show operations which can bring in 26,000 fans through their doors nightly.
